Introducing Philadelphia Chiropractor Dr. Anthony Calantoni

Philadelphia Chiropractor Dr. Anthony CalantoniFor years I suffered with low back and neck pain!

I started wrestling in elementary school and continued the sport in high school and college. After years of recurring injuries I was finally convinced by my father to try a chiropractor. Within a short period of time, the doctor I was seeing was able to get me feeling the best I ever felt in my life. The results that I had experienced were so significant that I was inspired to learn more about Chiropractic. I was a Bio-pre-med student at the time so I had a solid base in anatomy and physiology. This gave me the ability to comprehend thoroughly the importance of having a proper functioning spine not only for living a pain-free life, but for one's overall health in general. Simply put, Chiropractic had such an impact on my life and I was so impressed that I decided to go to chiropractic school myself.

I graduated from Life Chiropractic College in 2002. It is also at Life College in Marietta, Georgia where I completed my internship and training. I went on to work in a multi-disciplinary facility in Brooklyn, NY for one year. Shortly thereafter, the opportunity arose to go to Italy and work in an orthopedic outpatient clinic funded by the government. I proudly accepted the position and worked in Italy for just shy of four years. In this time period I cared for hundreds of people with minor to major spinal and joint ailments/injuries. I have been entrusted in treating everyone from babies to elderly ones to professional athletes.

I am now located at Bridesburg Chiropractic and have been here since October 1, 2007. I am board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and am amongst the first chiropractors in the United States to be certified in the Chiropractic Bio-Physics technique of spinal rehabilitation. CBP is the most advanced and researched technique in the chiropractic profession. (Chiropractic BioPhysics Patient Resources.) I am also a certified extremity practitioner in which I have completed a comprehensive course of study, given by the Council on Extremity Adjusting.

At Bridesburg Chiropractic, the spinal column is not the only scope of care. The office also specializes in chronic pain associated with the shoulder, elbow, wrist, ankle/foot, knee, and/or hip. The comprehensive approach of multiple techniques and procedures utilized in our office addresses the body as a whole entity.  The objective is to provide relief in the shortest amount of time. The goal is to restore as much balance and equilibrium possible to all the muscles and ligaments directly associated with the problem area.  This entail helps establish the base for long-lasting results contributing directly to the factors of living a long, active, energetic life, free of pain.  By keeping abreast of the latest chiropractic and alternative medical breakthroughs in modern physical medicine, I strive to provide patients and/or clients at Bridesburg Chiropractic the most up to date and effective chiropractic care available.

"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease." Attributed to Thomas Edison

Dr. Anthony Asks some important questions of interest to Philadelphia residents - Chiropractor Philadelphia Dr. Anthony Asks...

Could a chiropractor put an end to bedwetting?
If bladder control seems elusive, consider chiropractic. If spinal bones are interfering with nerves that control your child's bladder, plastic sheets, alarms and other methods simply add to the embarrassment. Philadelphia parents are often amazed (and relieved) that chiropractic can be so helpful. Learn more.
What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Philadelphia parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
